The Cabinet decides moving from emergency action plan to an organized plan of action tackling with the earthquake aftermath

Damascus-SANA The Cabinet decided to move from an emergency action plan, to deal with the repercussions of the devastating earthquake that struck a number of Syrian governorates, to an organized action plan.

During its weekly session on Tuesday, chaired by, Hussein Arnous, the Cabinet approved the organized action plan that involves all aspects of work related to relief, aid distribution, and studying possible options to secure suitable accommodation centers for quake- affected families, as well as the rehabilitation of the affected areas and their infrastructure.

The cabinet underlined the need to quickly complete the preparation of a detailed database of the reality of damage to housing and services, in order to set plans and strategies to address them according to appropriate scenarios.
