Austrian Foreign Ministry, Greek Embassy offer condolences on earthquake victims

Damascus, SANA- Secretary-General of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Peter Launsky-Tieffenthal, has offered condolences on behalf of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the victims of the earthquake that struck Syria last Monday.

That came during a phone call with Syrian Ambassador to Austria and its permanent representative to international organizations, Dr. Hassan Khaddour.

Launsky-Tieffenthal expressed his country’s readiness to provide assistance to help Syria face the effects of the devastating quake.

In a relevant context, Greek Ambassador to Austria, Catherine Koika, offered condolences on her behalf and on behalf of the members of the Greek Embassy on the earthquake victims.

During a phone call with Ambassador Khaddour, she expressed her country’s readiness to provide all possible assistance, noting that Greece has great experience in providing aid during natural disasters.

For his part, Ambassador Khaddour highly appreciated the kind gesture by Launsky-Tieffenthal, and Koika and their offer to provide assistance to mitigate the effects of the earthquake.
