Joint action to combat terrorism in Syria contributed to strengthening security in region, Volodin says

Tehran, SANA- Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin affirmed that joint action to combat terrorism in Syria contributed to enhancing security in the region as a whole.

“The war against terrorism is only part of the joint efforts by Russia and Iran for a peaceful future,” Volodin said during a press conference in Tehran with Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council on Monday.

“Russia and Iran today are successfully resisting the international expansion of the US and NATO, and this is confirmed by the unprecedented sanctions on our two countries”,Volodin added
