Provinces, SANA – Army units continued on Sunday to strike foreign-backed terrorists in many areas across the country, killing numbers of them, wounding others, and destroying their vehicles and weapons.
Homs
Army units targeted terrorist organizations in Unq al-Hawa, al-Msheirfeh al-Shamaliyeh and Mas’ada villages in the eastern countryside of Homs, a military source said.
The operations in those areas resulted in killing many terrorists, while others were left wounded.
Another army unit destroyed a car with terrorists on board on the way between al-Msheirfeh al-Janoubiyeh and Rajm al-Qassr.
In the eastern countryside near the border with Raqqa province, army units launched strikes targeting the movements of terrorists from of Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) to the south of Rahoum village, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.
All members of a terrorist group were killed and their weapons were destroyed in the western farms around al-Rastan Lake in al-Rastan area.
Idleb
Two dens for terrorists were destroyed by an army unit in Taftanaz, northeast of the northern Idleb province.
SANA reporter quoted a military source as saying that all terrorists inside the dens were killed and their weapons were destroyed.
In the southern countryside of Idleb, an army unit razed gatherings of terrorists in al-Taman’eh village in Maaret al-Numan area and in Tal Jaafar, leaving many terrorists dead and several of their vehicles
destroyed.
More members of terrorist organizations were killed and others wounded in Kensafra village in Jabal al-Zawieh area, the source said.
In the eastern countryside, army operations continued against dens of Jabhat al-Nusra and the so-called Ahrar al-Sham terrorist organization in Abu al-Duhour area.
The operations resulted in the killing of many terrorists and the destruction of a number of their vehicles in Tal Salmo, Um Jerin, al-Hamidiyeh and Abu al-Duhour.
Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists killed in ammo cache explosion
In another context, social media pages reported that an explosion took place in an ammunition cache for Jabhat al-Nusra in an area between Balioun and al-Bara towns in Jabal al-Zawieh.
The reports confirmed the death of 7 terrorists in the explosion, while others were wounded.
Also in Maarat al-Numan, a workshop for manufacturing explosives went off and killed all terrorists in it.
Damascus Countryside
The army units targeted terrorists’ positions and concentrations in Douma and Alya Farms, destroying plants to manufacture explosive devices and weapons’ cache and killing over 20 terrorists, among them terrorists Mut’eb al-Nabhan from Qatar, Sufian Muhiballah from Sudan and Dawood Qabouni.
Other units clashed with terrorists in Erbin, Zibdin, Marj al-Sultan and Jobar, killing scores of them and destroying their weapons and ammunition.
Army targeted terrorists’ hideouts in Sa’sa and al-Zabadani and killed and injured a number of terrorists.
Lattakia
Army units targeted with intensive firepower dens of Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist organizations in the northern countryside of Lattakia, killing a large number of terrorists, one of them a rocket expert of Turkish nationality.
A military source said most of the army’s operations were focused on the hideouts of Jabhat al-Nusra in al-Aydo and Ein al-Hour villages where many terrorists were left killed or wounded and their weapons and ammunition destroyed.
Another army unit killed a number of terrorists during strikes on their hideouts and dens in Salma area, 13km from the Turkish-Syrian border.
In Bdama area, which is close to the Turkish lands, a unit of the army intensified its strikes against terrorists’ gatherings and movements, killing many of them.
Many terrorists were killed and others were injured during operations in Kafr Dalba, al-Kart, al-Sukkariyeh, Wadi Bassour and Ekko.
An ammunition cache and three vehicles equipped with 23 mm caliber machine guns were destroyed in the operations, the source added, noting that two rocket experts, one is Turkish, were identified among the killed terrorists.
Hama
A unit of the army killed terrorists in Kafr Zita town in the countryside of the central Hama province, a military source told SANA.
Another army unit, the source added, carried out a special operation, using heavy weapons, killing many terrorists and injuring others in al-Bal’as, southeast of Hama city.
In the eastern countryside, army operations against dens and positions of terrorists resulted in the killing of many in the areas of Um Mayal, al-Hardaneh, al-Mo’azamiyeh, al-Qastal al-Shamali and Eqeirbat.
Army units also directly hit gatherings and hideouts of terrorists in the villages of Sarheh and al-Rahjan in the countryside of al-Salamiyeh, leaving a large number of the terrorists killed and many others wounded.
Daraa
A unit of the army killed all members of a terrorist group after hunting them down on a road west of Atman town in the countryside of the southern Daraa province, according to a military source.
The source also told SANA that another army unit destroyed vehicles with terrorists on board in the surrounding of Eayb Castle in al-Lajat area.
In Daraa al-Balad in the city, many terrorists of different nationalities were killed after destroying their gathering in the area surrounding the Technical Institution.
In the northwestern countryside, army units continued their intensive operations, destroying terrorist organizations’ hideouts and positions and hunting down their members in Jaydor Houran area.
Army units also destroyed several vehicles belonging to terrorist organizations in al-Hara town and targeted terrorists’ dens and gatherings with intensive fire power in the northern part of Kafar Shams, Tal Antar and Zimrin town, killing a large number of them and destroying their ammo and weaponry.
An army unit foiled terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate northeastern side of Zimrin village in Daraa countryside and eliminated all of the terrorists.
Quneitra
A unit of the army and armed forces on Sunday killed all members of a takfiri terrorist group in a precise operation against their den in a town to the south east of Tal Al-Bazak in the countryside of the province, a military source told SANA.
Terrorists from what is called “Ahrar al-sham”, Saif al-dawla”, Forqan alwaia” and ‘AL-Nusra Front” are using Tal Al-Bazak to the north of Tal Al-Hara close to the Jordanian border, as their center and perpetrate massacres against locals upon directives of operation center in Jordan where US, Israeli, Qatari, Saudi, Turkey and Jordanian intelligence are operating.
Earlier, army units strongly hit gatherings of Takfiri organizations, supported and financed by Saudi and Qatari regimes, and killed tens of their members and destroyed a number of their vehicles in Nabeh al-Sakher, Mashara and Al-Hurrieya areas.
