Syria, Iran discuss means of boosting health cooperation

Damascus, SANA- Health Minister Dr. Hassan al-Ghobash, discussed Tuesday with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular, Parliamentary, and expatriates Affairs Alireza Bigdeli, and the accompanying delegation, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in health sector.

Both sides discussed issues related to Syrian and Iranian doctors and students in both countries.

Al-Ghobash pointed out to the reality of the health sector and how much it was affected due the terrorist war on Syria and the inhumane blockade imposed on it, noting that there are common points that can be used to develop work and serve the citizens in both countries.

The importance of exchanging medical expertise between both countries, promoting medical tourism and providing appropriate conditions for it, was also addressed by Bigdeli.
