Syria harvests seven new medals in the West Asian Karate Championship

Abu Dhabi, SANA- Syria’s karate team won seven new medals, two gold, two silver and three bronze in the West Asian Karate Championship which is currently being held in UAE.

The Players Mais Qara Falah won the gold medal in weight category 55 kg under 21 years, and khouloud Ali in weight category +68 kg, over18, while Wissam Abu Mahmoud gained the silver one in weight category -75 kg under 21, and Alfat Brimbo in Individual Kata, over 18 years.

Qais Ghizawi won the bronze medal in weight category -67 under 21, and Majid Salkan in the weight category +84.

The Syrian player residing in the UAE, Abu Wakim Wadih, won a bronze weight category -55 kg over 18.

The teams of Bahrain, Lebanon, the Sultanate of Oman, Palestine, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Yemen, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, in addition to Syria, will participate in this championship.
