31 new facilities enter labor market in Adraa Industrial City this year

Damascus countryside, SANA- 31 new food, engineering and chemical industrial facilities have entered the labor and production market in the industrial city of Adraa in Damascus Countryside bringing the total number of productive facilities in the city to 1,131 whose production in the local market constitutes more than 60%, according to Assistant Director of the Industrial City Engineer Madyan Nasra.

 Eng. Nasra told SANA that the total number of facilities currently under construction is 3,383, while the total number of allocated divisions is 5,335.

“Work is under way to equip divisions in the city’s seventh sector with various infrastructure services to be offered for investment soon,” he added.

Nasra pointed to the industries that have recently entered production, including asphalt aggregates, chargers, energy storage units, energy drinks, medical drugs and batteries.

He added that industries which are still under construction vary between electric cars, scientific laboratory furniture, ethyl alcohol, gypsum board, medical devices and adhesive cement.

According to Nasra, the management of Adraa Industrial City is implementing many works to support industrial facilities, the most important of which are infrastructure services for new facilities and infrastructure maintenance for old facilities.

He shed light on the facilitations provided to the investors, in addition to the various services provided to industrialists to ensure the appropriate climate for the continuation of the production wheel.

The management of Adraa Industrial City had completed the lines for drawing water from the 16 wells that were dug and lined to the water pumping station located in Tel Kurdi, at a cost of 1.5 billion Syrian pounds.
