Damascus, SANA- Featuring the theme of “together to address climate change” on the National Environment Day, Damascus Governorate organized Tuesday various activities, including a walk from Umayyad square towards Tishreen Park, in addition to tree planting, cleaning and awareness campaigns.
Directorates of parks and cleanliness along with a number of different volunteer teams and popular organizations have participated in the event.
“Those activities contribute to improving citizens’ awareness of environmental measures and their interest in preserving the environment,” the event organizers asserted.
Similar activities were launched in different Syrian provinces, as well.
