Damascus, SANA-Assistant Regional Secretary of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party Hilal al-Hilal affirmed on Thursday the need for European countries to adhere to international resolutions on combating terrorism and stop using the double standard policy through fighting terrorism in a region and supporting it in Syria.
Al-Hilal, meeting Secretary General of the Arab-Italian Friendship Center , Raymond Syquiafin and an accompanying delegation, said that the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization is a US-Zionist instrument which carries out their agenda in the region.
“The situation in Syria is in a continuous progress due to the victories of the Syrian army,” al-Hilal added, referring to the great achievements gained by the army during the latest days in the southern area.
Syquiafinu, for his part, strongly condemned the terrorist attack, supported by European and regional states, against Syria, affirming that the war which Syria carries on against terrorism is considered as one of the most important wars in the world.
He added that members of the center will inquire the Italian government to restore diplomatic relations with Syria, pointing out that the Center will open a branch in Damascus soon.
