Moscow, SANA- Russian President Vladimir Putin said that his country plans to export 50 million tons of grain to the global markets.
“We consider that it is correct to increase the supply, particularly to the poorest countries,” Putin said during a meeting of the Security Council of Russia on Friday.
Putin pointed out that Russia will supply countries in need with 30 million tons of grain by the end of the year, and is ready to increase this volume to 50 million tons and more.
Putin noted that between last May and August, Russia exported 6.6 million tons of grain to world markets, of which 6.3 million tons were sent to Asian, African and Latin American countries.
