Syrian-Iraqi talks to develop tourism cooperation

Damascus, SANA-Minister of tourism, Mohammad Rami Martini discussed on Sunday with the Iraqi Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Hassan Nazim, and the accompanying delegation, ways to develop tourism cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides discussed means to improve the quality of services provided to tourists of both countries, address the obstacles faced them in this regard and grant them necessary facilitates for movement, especially at the border crossings, in addition to holding reciprocal tourism weeks that include promotional activities and exhibitions.

The meeting also touched upon the importance of exchanging investment opportunities in both countries, and inviting the businessmen to attend the tourism investment forum due to be held in September 2022, in addition to exchanging expertise in the field of tourism and hotel training and rehabilitation, with reference to the role of the media in promoting tourism product, and archaeological sites.
