Gradual return of power after Blackout due to a defect in Zara plant

Damascus, SANA- Power is gradually returning to all Syrian provinces after a general blackout overnight, a source at Ministry of Electricity said Saturday.

A defect in al-Zara plant led to a general blackout in the country on Friday.

‘A defect in al-Zara plant caused a general blackout as the electricity workshops started immediately maintenance works and electricity will return gradually within few hours,” Electricity Ministry said in a statement on its Facebook page.
