Antonov: Russia has provided 16,000 tons of humanitarian aid to residents of Ukraine and Donbass

Washington, SANA- The Russian ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov,  affirmed that since the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, Russia has evacuated more than one million people to its territory from dangerous areas in Ukraine and the People’s  Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk, and delivered 16 thousand tons of food, medicine and other supplies.

“We recommend that our American colleagues familiarize themselves with the regularly updated materials of the Russian Ministry of Defense on the humanitarian situation.” . Antonov said, according to what was reported by TASS on Friday in response to White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki, who claimed that she “did not see a role for Russia in humanitarian aid to Ukraine

Psaki said on Thursday that “the US authorities do not see the formation of humanitarian convoys, the establishment of humanitarian corridors, or the provision of humanitarian aid to Ukrainians from the Russian side.
