Moscow, SANA-Russian President Vladimir Putin said that isolating Russia is impossible and the decision to launch the special operation in Ukraine was correct and timely, adding that the US is “ready to fight to the last Ukrainian” as Ukraine for the West is “just a means to achieve goals”.
“We discussed the formation of a common defense space and security issues, and we will face attempts to isolate Moscow and Minsk” Putin said at press conference with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.
Putin indicated that similar provocations to what is happening in Ukraine today have been organized in Syria where the government faced accusations of using chemical weapons, and it turned out later that this information was fake, elaborating that the falsification of facts is repeated in Bucha.
President Putin added “When my western colleagues talk to me about Bucha, I ask them have you ever visited Syrian Raqqa… the US jet fighters leveled the city to the ground and the corpses remained there for months until they rotted; and none of you have paid attention to the matter.”
As for sanctions imposed on Russia, Putin stressed that their repercussions will affect those responsible for it.
“If the partners want to worsen the situation, it will also worsen for them,” Putin said, adding those who impose sanctions have to think better and take balanced decisions.
