Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister, Hussein Arnous, discussed on Wednesday with his Iraqi counterpart, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, means of enhancing cooperation in the economic, agricultural, industrial and service activities.
Talks between of the two sides which were held in a telephone call also tackled ways of boosting the commercial exchange in the context of strengthening relation between markets of the two counties and realizing as much as possible the integrity between them in light of the historical ties in the business sector.
They stressed the importance of cooperation in the energy sector taking advantage of the resources and infrastructure available in the two countries and the their optimal investment in light of the instability from which the global energy market suffers.
As for water situation, the two sides referred to the challenges in the water sector in both states, affirming the necessity of the continuous joint coordination to ensure the rational management of the water resources and getting the water rights of Syria and Iraq according to international treaties and laws.
