Russian forces take full control of Kherson, Russian MoD says

Moscow, SANA- Russian Armed Forces units have taken full control of Kherson’s regional center, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov told reporters on Wednesday.

“Civilian infrastructure, critical public services and facilities, along with urban transportation are operating as usual. There are no shortages of food or essential goods in the city,” Konashenkov assured.

He added “negotiations continue between the Russian command, and the city and regional administrations, on resolving issues covering the maintenance and function of social infrastructure facilities, ensuring law and order and the security of the population.”

Konashenkov noted that the broadcast equipment of the Kyiv TV tower had been disabled by hitting it with a high-precision weapon in order to suppress media attacks against Russia.

He went on saying that the technological facilities of the Ukrainian Security Service and the 72nd center of Information-Psychological Operations (PsO) were targeted with high-precision weapons in Kyiv, and the broadcasters of the TV tower were disabled without causing damage to residential buildings.

He noted that over the period of the special operation, 1,502 Ukrainian military infrastructure facilities have been crippled, including 51 command and communications centers of the Ukrainian armed forces, 38 S-300, Buk M-1 and Osa surface-to-air missile systems and 51 radar stations.

Konashenkov added that Russian troops have also destroyed 47 planes on the ground and 11 aircraft in the air, 472 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 62 multiple launch rocket systems, 206 field artillery guns and mortars, 336 special military motor vehicles and 46 unmanned aerial vehicles.

Konashenkov announced that units of the Russian Armed Forces had taken control of the Tokmak and Vasilievka regions, as the Ukrainian soldiers refused to resist and voluntarily laid down their arms.
