100 new coronavirus cases, 5 deaths recorded in Syria

Damascus, SANA- 100 new coronavirus infections, 105 recoveries and 5 fatalities were reported in Syria on Wednesday, according to the Health Ministry.

A statement issued by the ministry showed that the total number of the coronavirus cases recorded in Syria has reached up to 48,901, while the recoveries have amounted to 30,070, and 2,793 deaths have been registered.

The first coronavirus case was detected in Syria on March 22^nd last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first death was reported a week later.
