197 new coronavirus cases, 7 deaths recorded in Syria

Damascus, SANA- 197 new coronavirus cases, 94 recoveries, and 7 fatalities were registered in Syria on Monday, according to the Health Ministry.

“The total number of infections detected in the country till now has reached up to 45,096, of which 27,026 have recovered, while the fatalities have amounted to 2,620”, the Ministry said in a statement.

The first coronavirus case was recorded in Syria on March 22^nd last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first fatality was reported on the 29^th of the same month.
