206 new coronavirus cases recorded in Syria

 Damascus, SANA- 260 new coronavirus infections, 91 recoveries and 9 deaths were recorded in Syria on Wednesday, according to the Health Ministry.

A statement by the ministry showed that the total number of the coronavirus cases recorded in Syria has reached up to 44,191 till now, while the recoveries have amounted to 26,652 and 2,593 fatalities have been recorded.

The first coronavirus case was detected in Syria on March 22^nd last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first death was reported on the 29^th of the same month.
