Temperatures to drop, showers expected in different regions

Damascus, SANA-Temperatures will significantly drop to become from 2 to 5 degrees above average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Wednesday bulletin that the weather will be misty with dusty conditions in the eastern and al-Badia (semi desert) regions with a little chance for thunder showers over different areas.

The wind will be southwesterly with a moderate speed and active gusts that exceed 80 km/h, and the sea waves will be medium to high in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 16/9, Daraa 16/8, Homs 12/8, Hasaka 14/9, Aleppo 12/7, Deir Ezzor 23/13
