Health Ministry: 61 new coronavirus cases recorded, 80 patients recover, 5 pass away

Damascus, SANA-The Health Ministry on Monday announced that 61 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Syria, adding that 80 coronavirus patients recovered and five others passed away.

In a statement, the Ministry noted that the total number of the coronavirus cases recorded in Syria has climbed to 16,042 till now, of which 10,454 have recovered and 1,068 have passed away.

The first coronavirus case was registered in Syria on March 22^nd last year in a person who came from abroad while the first fatality was recorded on the 29^th of the same month.
