Tehran, SANA-Grand Mufti of Syria, Ahmed Badr al-Din Hassoun, discussed with Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools, means of confronting attempts to distort the image of Islam, and benefiting from the Islamic world’s potentials for to enhance concepts.
Mufti Hassoun stressed the need for working to spread the culture of tolerance, reinforce the spirit of amity, and keeping away from extremism, stressing that Syria has been working with this approach and intellectual development for many years.
For his part, Shahriari referred to the importance of cooperation to confront terrorism and takfiri thoughts, and to promote human mentality.
