Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of a million and 691,959 people worldwide since the beginning of its outbreak last December according to the American Worldometers website.
The website added that the total number of coronavirus infections worldwide has climbed to 76 million and 627,080 while the recoveries has reached up to 53 million and 751,803.
In Colombia, the number of infections has risen after recording 13,990 cases over the past 24 hours as it has reached up to a million and 496,062 while 249 fatalities have been registered as the death toll in the country has reached up to 40,268.
Meanwhile, in South Korea, 1097 coronavirus infections and 15 deaths have been detected bringing the total number of infections in the country to 49, 665 while the deaths have amounted to 674.
In Thailand, more than 548 cases were recorded on Saturday which is the highest daily toll in a country which has been able to control the outbreak of the pandemic somehow.
