Temperatures to drop, snow expected over high mountains

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will notably drop to become from 2 to 4 degrees below average as the country is affected by a low air pressure accompanied by a relatively cold and wet air mass in all layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the weather will be relatively cold and the skies will be partly cloudy to rainy sometimes, while snow will fall over the high mountains.

The wind will be easterly to northeasterly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low to medium in height.

Different amounts of rainfalls have been registered in a number of Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: Quneitra 43 mm, Damascus and its countryside 32 mm, Sweida 11 mm, Tartous 7 mm, Aleppo 14 mm and Hasaka 8 mm.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus

16/9, Daraa 16/9, Homs 13/8, Lattakia 18/13, Aleppo 13/5 and Deir Ezzor 18/7.
