Mrs. Asmaa al-Assad discusses with Kuznetsova the Syrian –Russian efforts to evacuate Russian children from al-Hawl and al-Rawj camps

Damascus, SANA- Mrs. Asmaa al-Assad on Thursday received Children’s Rights Commissioner for the President of the Russian Federation, Anna Kuznetsova, and an accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, talks dealt with the Syrian –Russian joint efforts to get the Russian children out of al-Hawl and al-Rawj camps along with the facilitation and the physical , psychological and social support provided for those children by the Syrian State in this regards.

Mrs. Al-Assad stressed Syria’s continuous readiness to cooperate in that regard till evacuating the last Russian child from those camps , reiterating that the Syrian state also seeks ,on more than one level and in cooperation with the Russian side, to get the Syrian kids out of those camps ,in addition to the hard work to reintegrate and rehabilitate the kids returned with their families from abroad and those who suffered difficult circumstances in recent years.

In turn, Mrs. Kuznetsova appreciated the Syrian efforts to return the Russian kids ,stressing that Russia is working hard with the Syrian state to exchange the expertise regarding integrating and rehabilitating the Syrian refugees who have returned to their homeland.

In that regard. the two sides agreed upon the need for launching constructive and effective dialogue on children issue and integrating them with the mother community whether for the kids who came from countries of immigration or for the kids who lived for years suffering from terrorism and the abnormal ideologies of the armed terrorist groups , and upon the ideal methods to rehabilitate them on the educational ,psychological and ideological domains to be effective citizens in their homeland.

They also agreed to continue the work in this regard to put a clear view that frames this file and launch it on the international level, in cooperation between Syria and Russia, to put all in front of their responsibilities, whether the states that claim preserving and fearing the children’s law or whether the international organizations specialized in this regard.
