Cairo, SANA- Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry affirmed that the Turkish occupation of parts of the Syrian territory severely harms the entire region, calling at the same time to find a political solution to the crisis in Syria that guarantees the preservation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Al-Ahram quoted the Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Hafez as saying, that Shoukry renewed stressing the importance of confronting the threat of terrorism and terrorist organizations and their supporters, especially those in Idlib and northwestern Syria, stressing at the same time the need to reach a political settlement to the crisis in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution No. 2254.
Shoukry stressed Egypt’s categorical rejection of the Turkish regime’s attempts to bring about forced demographic changes in some Syrian areas and change their features.
