Russian senior delegation arrives in Damascus to hold talks with Syrian officials on bilateral relations

Damascus, SANA-A Russian official delegation on Sunday, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov, arrived in Damascus to hold talks with the Syrian officials on developing bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Borisov and the accompanying delegation were received at Damascus International Airport by Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister Ayman Sousan and a number of officials in addition to the Russian Ambassador in Damascus Alexander Efimov.

The Russian delegation will hold bilateral and economic talks with the Syrian officials tomorrow, with the aim of completing the discussions of the Syrian- Russian Joint Committee in the fields of trade, economic, technical and scientific cooperation which held its twelve meeting in Moscow in December 2019 chaired by Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem and Borissov.
