Temperatures above average, showers expected in western region

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will tend to drop to become from 5 to 8 degrees above average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure coming from the southeastern and accompanied by subtropical high air pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday Bulletin that the weather will be hot and the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general and showers might fall over the western region.

The wind will be changeable to southwestern with a low to moderate speed, while the sea waves will be low in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus23/40, Quneitra 18/35, Idleb 22/39, Tartous 21/29, Raqqa 28/44 and Aleppo 23/41.
