Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has claimed the lives of 76,8984 people so far while the number of the infections reached up to 21,616,628 , and the number of recoveries amounted 14,331,736 since the beginning of its outbreak last December, according to Worldometer website.
In Brazil, 41,576 coronavirus infections and 709 deaths have been recorded bringing the total number of infections to 3, 317, 096 while the death toll amounted 107,232.
In Mexico, the Health Ministry announced registering 6,345 new coronavirus infections and 635 deaths due to the coronavirus bringing the total number of infections 517,714 and the death toll to 56,543.
In Germany, 625 new cases have been recorded as the total number of infections reached up to 223,453 while the death toll remained 9,231.
Meanwhile, in South Korea, Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have registered 279 new coronavirus cases which is considered as the largest number of daily infections since the beginning of last March.
Over the past 24 hours, New Zealand registered 13 new cases with the continued increase of the first outbreak of the virus in the country in months, bringing the number of active cases to 69.
In Egypt, the Ministry of Health and Population announced the registration of 116 new coronavirus infections and 17 deaths yesterday, compared to 112 infections and 17 deaths on Friday, which brings the total number of cases to 96,336, including 58,835 cases that have been treated and while the death toll reached 5,141.
In Tunisia, the Ministry of Health announced yesterday that 120 new cases have been recorded, including 116 local cases in the past 24 hours, which raises the total number of infections to 2,023 cases, while the total deaths rose to 54 deaths due to the registration of a new death in this pandemic.
