Al-Moallem expresses Syria’s sympathy with Lebanon, readiness to put all potentials to help it

Damascus, SANA- Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem on Wednesday held a phone call with his Lebanese counterpart Charbel Wahba on which he expressed the Syrian Arab Republic’s deep sympathy with Lebanon towards the grave incident that hit Beirut Port which left a big number of victims and wounded persons, in addition to causing huge damage to the buildings, and the public and private facilities.

Minister al-Moallem voiced Syria’s deep sympathy and solidarity with Lebanon, expressing readiness to put all its potentials to help Lebanon in overcoming the impacts of this grave incident.

He also offered condolences to the Lebanese people and the families of the victims, wishing quick recovery to the wounded persons.

For his part, the Lebanese Minister expressed gratitude to the brotherly stance by Syria which reflects the deep-rooted relations linking the two brotherly countries.
