Damascus, SANA- Temperature will raise to become from 3 to 6 degrees above average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure from the southeast accompanied by a semi-tropical high air pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the weather will be clear and hot in general, while in the eastern areas and Al-Jazeera and al-Badia “semi-desert” it will be hazy, dusty and very hot.
The wind will be changeable to northwestern between low and moderate and the sea waves will be low in height.
The department clarified that the hot air mass will affect the area starting of Thursday and continue during the few coming days as temperature will exceed average in most areas by 5-7 degrees and the weather will be very hot in general, hazy and dusty in the eastern areas, al-Jazeera and al Badia.
The department added that temperatures will continue to become from 5 to 8 degrees above average on Saturday.
The expected temperature degrees in some main Syrian cities are as follows:
Damascus:39/22 –Homs :34/23 –Tartous :35/25 –Aleppo :40/25 –Hasaka: 42/25.
