Health Ministry: Imposing a lockdown on Jdeidet al-Fadil town

Damascus, SANA- The Health Ministry on Saturday night announced imposing a lockdown on Jdeidet al-Fadil town which is affiliated to al-Quneitra Province.

In a statement, the Ministry said that “a lockdown was imposed on Jdeidet al-Fadil town in Quneitra Province after registering a number of coronavirus cases in it, in order to prevent the outbreak of the virus and to preserve the public health and the citizen’s safety”

Earlier on the day, the Ministry announced that 11 new coronavirus cases were registered, while 5 other cases have recovered as the total of the registered cases in Syria raised to / 198 /, and the number of recoveries raised to 83 while 7 cases have passed away till today.

The Ministry indicated that 10 of the newly announced cases have been detected in Jdeidet al-Fadil and one of the cases was for a person who came from Lebanon.

The first case of coronavirus was registered in Syria on March 22nd for a person who came from abroad while the first death was registered on the 29th of the same month.
