Health Ministry:12 new Coronavirus cases registered in Ras al-Ma’ara town in Damascus countryside

Damascus, SANA- The Health Ministry announced on Thursday evening that 12 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been registered among persons who interacted with infected people in Ras al-Ma’ara town in Damascus countryside, raising the total number of registered cases in Syria to 164 cases

The Ministry said in a statement that the total infections in Syria reached 164 until today, 68 of them have recovered and 6 others have passed away.

The Ministry added that a lockdown was imposed on Ras al-Ma’ara town on 7th of June.
On March 22, the first case of Coronavirus was registered in Syria for a person who had come from abroad.
