Authorities find weapons and ammunition, some of them US-made, in southern region

Damascus, SANA – The authorities on Monday found amounts of weapons and ammunition, some of them US-made, in addition to more than half a million various rounds left behind by terrorists in the southern region.

SANA’s reporter quoted a source from the authorities that the items included 23mm machineguns, assault rifles including US-made M16 rifles, night-vision and regular binoculars, communication devices, anti-tank missiles, RPG rounds, and hundreds of kilograms of hashish.

The items also included more than half a million rounds for machineguns and assault rifles, as well as anti-tank landmines.
