Beirut, SANA_ Head of the Supreme Shia Council in Lebanon, Sheikh Abdul-Amir Qabalan, renewed the call for coordination and integration with Syria in the interest of both countries.
In Eid al-Fitr message, Qabalan urged the Lebanese government to cooperate closely with the Syrian government and activate the joint agreements that benefit the two brotherly peoples.
He said that “Lebanon is rich country, but its money is looted and it is subject to hegemony, external dictates and economic pressures. Today the opportunity is available for the government to be liberated from these pressures by redrawing an economic policy based on supporting productive sectors and liberation from US sanctions that have affected Lebanon’s economy and affected its relations with brotherly countries”.
Regarding the Palestinian cause, Qabalan affirmed his denunciation and rejection of the so-called “deal of the century” aimed at liquidating the Palestinian issue, perpetuating settlement and abolishing the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes.
He concluded by emphasizing that occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem) has been the eternal capital of the state of Palestine.
