Damascus, SANA-Syrian dramatist and critic, Riad Esmat, aged 73, has passed away in the American city of Chicago.

Culture Ministry announced the death of late Esmat of coronavirus infection in the US city of Chicago.

Esmat was born in Damascus in 1947. He got English Literature from Damascus University in 1968. Ex-Minister of culture.
