25-day isolation ends in Menin town, northern Damascus

Damascus countryside, SANA_ The Ministry of Health on Sunday announced the end of the 25-day isolation of Menin city in the northern countryside of Damascus after verifying that there are no infected or suspected cases of the novel coronavirus in the town

On April 1, the Ministry ordered a full lockdown in the town amid fears of COVID-19.

The isolation comes in the wake of the death of a woman from the town after she suffered from Coronavirus.

The total of Coronavirus cases registered in Syria to this day are 42, with 11 patients recovering and 3 passing away.

Syria announced the first positive case of this pandemic on last March 22.

The country took strict preventive measures to contain the spread of this pandemic where several hospitals and medical centers throughout the country were equipped well to receive possible cases of infection.
