Water pumped into Hasaka City again after a week-stoppage

Hasaka, SANA- The General Organization for Drinking Water in Hasaka Province on Sunday morning started to pump water into Hasaka City after an interruption which lasted for more than a week as the mercenaries of the Turkish regime prevented the workers of the institution from entering Alouk water plant in the countryside of Ras al-Ayn City.

The Institution’s Director General Mahmoud al-Okla told SANA reporter that the process of pumping water from the assembling tanks in Tal Tamir in the direction of al-Nashwa neighborhood in Hasaka City is being performed in an emergent way with the aim of providing the needs of citizens of drinking water in light of the instability of the water supply which comes from Alouk plant.

Al-Okla added that water pumping will be resumed towards the city and the surrounding neighborhoods till refilling the water tanks again.

It is noteworthy, the Turkish regime and its mercenaries are committing a humanitarian crime against the locals in the province through depriving more than 700 thousand people in Hasaka City and the surrounding areas of the water after the established control over Alouk water plant in the countryside of Ras al-Ayn City.
