Kazakh Foreign Ministry: Next round of Astana talks might be held in early December

Nur-Sultan, SANA- Kazakh Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi on Monday announced that the next round of Astana talks on the crisis in Syria might be held at the Kazakh capital city of Nur-Sultan in early December.

In statements quoted by Sputnik, Tileuberdi said that his ministry is waiting for an official request by the guarantor states of Astana process, namely “Russia, Iran and Turkey.”

Earlier in November, Kazakh Foreign Ministry’s Spokesman Aibek Smadiyarov announced that the next round of Astana talks might be held in late November or early December in Nur-Sultan city.

Astana talks started in the Kazakh capital in 2017 as 13 meetings have been held, one of them in the Russian city of Sochi, and all of them have affirmed the firm adherence to preserving Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity and continuing the fight against terrorist organizations till eliminating them completely.
