Syria and Sudan to enhance agrarian cooperation

Lattakia, SANA-Sudanese Minister of Agriculture Babikir Othman Mohammad Ali underlined on Tuesday the importance of opening aspects of cooperation in the agrarian domain and exchange of goods between Syria and Sudan.

The Minister, who heads a Sudanese high-level delegation, toured Al-Sen and Bouka Research centers affiliated to the Arab Center for the Studies of the Arid zones and Dry lands ( ACSAD), appreciated the work being carried out by the Syrian agrarian centers to develop the situation of agriculture.

“The continuation of production circle and researches in the agriculture field, though the conditions Syria is passing through, affirms that it goes in the right direction thanks to the struggle of the Syrian people,” the Sudanese Minister said.

Director of Agriculture department in Lattakia Monzer Kheir Beik, for his part, said it is very important to keep cooperation and exchange of goods between Syria and Sudan, particularly as Lattakia has abundant crop in olive oil and citrus.
