Cabinet approves plan on rehabilitating schools damaged by terrorism

Damascus, SANA- In its weekly session on Sunday chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis, the Cabinet decided to reactivate governmental departments in Raqqa countryside and ensure the return of employees to the areas which have been liberated from terrorism.

The Cabinet charged the Local Administration and Environment Ministry with carrying out the necessary coordination with the bodies concerned to restore basic services in the liberated areas and start a development plan, focusing on the optimal investment in agriculture in those areas.

The Cabinet approved the plans of the Education Ministry and the Local Administration and Environment Ministry for rehabilitating and restoring schools damaged by terrorism, with the total value of funds allocated for this purpose during 2018/2019 amounting to SYP 3.7 billion.
