Al-Moallem receives credentials of Vietnam’s non-resident Ambassador to Syria

Damascus, SANA_  Deputy Premier, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem met on Monday Vietnam’s Ambassador to Iran Nguyen Manh Hien and received  his credentials as Vietnam’s  non-resident ambassador  to Syria.

Talks during the meeting dealt with the bilateral relations between Syria and Vietnam and means of enhancing and developing cooperation between them in various fields for the benefit of both peoples and friendly countries.

Mikdad stresses importance of developing relations between Syria and Vietnam

On a relevant note, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad met Ambassador Nguyen Manh Hien, discussing with him means to enhance bilateral relations on all levels.

Mikdad expressed Syria’s respect for the Vietnamese people whose resistance of the French colonialism and US occupation set an example for the rest of the world.

The Deputy Minister stressed the importance of developing relations between Syria and Vietnam on all levels, particularly in economic fields, expressing readiness to work with Vietnam in the future.

For his part, the Ambassador voiced his country’s solidarity with Syria in its defense of its independence and sovereignty and its war on terrorism, saying that there are prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation, which he will discuss with officials during his visit.
