Damascus Countryside, SANA – The Russian clergy delegation currently visiting Syria concluded its visit on Friday by waling the path of St. Moses the Black Monastery in al-Nabek area in Damascus Countryside.
The delegation, which is headed by head of the North Caucasus Bishops, Archbishop Feofilakt, envoy of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, presented an icon depicting St. Seraphim to the Monastery where they prayed for peace in Syria in the world.
Father Jihad Youssef from the Monastery thanked the delegation for the gift, while Archbishop Feofilakt asserted his country’s continuing support for the Syrian people.
The delegation started their visit to Syria on Monday, visiting churches and monasteries in several provinces and presenting them with icons.
