Damascus, SANA – State Minister for National Reconciliation Affairs Ali Haidar said the Ministry will exert the necessary efforts to return the people of al-Husseiniye in Damascus Countryside to their homes, as the Syrian Arab Army restored security and stability to the town.
Meeting a number of al-Husseiniye locals on Monday, Haidar called for addressing all difficulties and hurdles in order to alleviate the suffering of the people displaced from the town and prepare a plan to ensure their return to their homes as soon as possible.
He also asserted that the Ministry is working to carry out local reconciliations in various areas, taking into accounts the conditions in each area.
For their part, the representatives of the townspeople said that a reconciliation committee has been formed in the town to help coordinate the locals’ return, voicing readiness to devise mechanisms in cooperation with the authorities to protect properties from terrorists, end the suffering of displaced families, and address the issue of missing and abducted people.
