Aleppo, SANA-The Cabinet approved on Sunday a comprehensive strategy for development in Aleppo province in the economic, service, tourist, educational, health, cultural and social fields.
This came during a session chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis in Aleppo province as a government delegation comprising all the Cabinet members are on a current visit to the province upon President Bashar al-Assad’s directions.
The visit comes in acknowledgment of the province’s significance as a human, economic, cultural and tourist hub.
During the session, every minister laid out respectively his vision for development according to set timetables in the province which is rising from the ashes of a terrorist war against it.
The Cabinet took a number of decisions related to Aleppo province, including allowing the private sector to import microbuses for public transport, rehabilitating the real-estate affairs departments, rehabilitating the optometry and pediatrics hospitals, rehabilitating 175 schools, contracting 2086 teachers, and establishing new buildings for university faculties.
It also approved cooking gas allocations and rehabilitating petroleum products storage facilities to increase their capacity to 100 million liters, in addition to approving suggestions by the Electricity Ministry to provide Aleppo city’s needs of electricity.
The Cabinet also concluded deliberation of the new investment law bill, approving its final draft.
