Service and investment projects to rehabilitate infrastructures in areas liberated from terrorism

Damascus, SANA- The Reconstruction Committee carried out many service and investment projects during the current year with the aim of restoring basic services and rehabilitating infrastructure in the areas liberated by the Syrian Arab Army from terrorism.

The Committee said in a statement that SYP 650 million has been allocated to rehabilitate a number of damaged schools in the provinces which contributed to restarting the educational process there.

The committee added that SYP 1.7 billion has been allocated to rehabilitate the affected buildings of the police stations in Damascus and its Countryside, Daraa, Quneitra, Hama, Hasaka, Homs, Deir Ezzor, Lattakia and Aleppo.

SYP 2 billion have been allocated to rehabilitate several damaged hospitals in Harasta, al-Nashabiyah, al-Mleiha in Eastern Ghouta, health centers and ambulances in Damascus Countryside Health Directorate, in addition to allocating SYP 4.5 million to rehabilitate the Oncology Hospital in Aleppo and 1.2 million to rehabilitate Jableh hospital.

The committee also allocated SYP 753 million to rehabilitate colleges and facilities affiliated to the Euphrates University, SYP 50 million to rehabilitate Aleppo University and SYP 35 million for restoration acts in al-Baath University.

Regarding the rehabilitation works of the damaged communication networks, SYP 200 million have been allocated to repair the optical cable path between Homs and Deir Ezzor to al-Sukhnieh and Palmyra, as well as allocating SYP 100 million to rehabilitate the affected telephone infrastructure in al-Layramoun Industrial area and SYP 652 billion to rehabilitate Adraa’s free zone.

SYP 4 billion have been allocated also for rehabilitation of the power networks in the provinces and SYP 584 million for the damaged water networks in al-Hamadanieh area in Aleppo.
