Antradous… messages of homeland” Festival wraps up activities

Tartous, SANA- “Antradous… messages of homeland” festival  wrapped up activities on Friday by a theatrical show performed by the folk and theatre dance Jollanar troupe in addition to sculptural and plastic arts exhibitions held in the  park of Tartous Museum.

Jollanar troupe’s show focused on the folk fashions in Syria and in various countries around the world through presenting Phoenician, Aramaic and Romanian costumes and fashions representing the modern ages .

The show also included fashions from the Middle Ages, particularly the Umayyad and Abbasid and Andalusia eras in addition to fashions from Europe, China and India.

A sculpture exhibition for sculptor Bahaa Eddim Moalla was opened in the Museum’s park.

Damascene Choir of Joy affiliated to Greek Catholic Church of Our Lady of Damascus performed a show.

Father Elias Zahlawi pointed to the importance of the event in highlighting the values and arts which build the human being.

A souk for the popular food in the coastal region was opened at al-Manshiyeh park on the sidelines of the event.

On the sidelines of the event, Tartous Tourism Department, in cooperation with al-Saadi Company, honored a number of the families of the  army’s martyrs in appreciation of their sacrifices to defend the homeland’s dignity and honor.

Earlier, the activities of tourist festival kicked off on Thursday at the festivals square on the corniche of Tartous city.

The festival , which was held by the Ministry of Tourism, carried a massage of love, peace and tolerance from Tartous to the whole world and highlighted the archeological treasures of the city.
