Damascus, SANA- Prime Minister Imad Khamis said that the coming stage will witness resuming production in all the industrial areas.
His remarks came during a meeting with a delegation of Syrian businessmen residing in Egypt on Wednesday.
Discussions in the meeting with the businessmen touched upon the means to resume production in their facilities and revitalize investments in Syria, particularly during the reconstruction stage.
The meeting yielded several decisions supporting the investment and industry, including the establishment of a permanent expo for the Syrian goods at Damascus Fairground City, enhancing external expos in order to expand the export markets, facilitating the importation of raw materials necessary to support the industry and providing facilitations for the industrialists whose facilities have been damaged to enable them to resume production, in addition to activating the economic office at the Syrian embassy in Egypt.
A meeting will be held between the Syrian businessmen residing in Egypt and Aleppo governor on the possibility of investment in the industrial areas to generate jobs opportunities and transfer expertise.
Khamis stressed the government’s determination to cooperate with the private sector and businessmen who have an important role in the economic and social development.
