Doctors from Aleppo perform quality surgeries for patients in Deir Ezzor city

Deir Ezzor, SANA-A medical delegation from Aleppo visited Deir Ezzor city and provided health services to the city’s locals who had suffered due to a three-year siege imposed by Daesh (ISIS).

Chairman of Aleppo Doctors Syndicate Dr. Zaher Batal said that the delegation consists of 15 specialized doctors who offered medical counseling for patients and conducted dozens of surgeries.

Zaher, who heads the delegation, added that this visit is the first and will not be the last after an assessment of the health situation and the needs of the city was made.

The medical examination was conducted for dozens of cases, and a number of patients who did not have the financial means to be treated in other provinces have undergone surgeries, according to one of the medical delegation’s members.

The initiative of Aleppo’s branch of the Doctors Syndicate is meant to back the efforts of the Health Ministry, which has provided its directorate in Deir Ezzor since breaking the terrorist siege last September with large amounts of medicines and medical equipment to improve the health situation in the province.
