Syria gains golden medal in Russian Masters Swimming Championships

Moscow, SANA- Syrian swimmer Firas Moualla snatched the golden medal in the 2018 Russian Masters Swimming open water Championships held in Anapa city on the Black Sea coast.

Moualla told SANA that winning the 2.5 km race, in which 147 competitors of all categories participated, is a new achievement added to the Syrian swimming achievements.

He pointed out that participation in the Russian championships is a preparatory stage for the European Championships due to be held in Slovenia next September for 3 km and 5 km.
